As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will drive between sites, conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and document observations to help identify and help to deter security-related incidents. You will provide clear communication and customer service while working with a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, backed by a caring culture that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, lots, fenced perimeter, and operational areas such as pump stations and utility infrastructure to help identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor and/or control access at gates and entry points by verifying authorization, directing visitors and deliveries, and documenting entries and exits per site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site management and/or public responders as directed and helping to maintain orderly conditions.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, communicate observations to supervisors and site contacts, and report maintenance issues such as broken lights, damaged fencing, and/or unsecured doors.
