About The Position

As a Security Officer - Entry Control Driver in Saint Louis, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a busy worksite, you will greet and screen visitors, manage badges and entry permissions, monitor access points and alarm activity, and document security-related events using computer and/or tablet tools. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with site teams, and support a caring, integrity-driven culture through teamwork. This is a driving position and requires a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit at designated access points, including verifying identification, confirming authorization, directing visitors, and maintaining visitor and vehicle logs.
  • Monitor alarms, doors, gates, and related systems, reporting irregular activity and helping to deter unauthorized access by communicating concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and completing required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, common areas, and the perimeter as assigned, noting hazards, unsecured doors, and unusual conditions, and reporting findings per post orders.
