As an Access Control Officer at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and conduct routine patrols to help reduce security-related incidents. You will remain visible, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond to concerns with a customer-service mindset. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license per Allied Universal Driver Policy Requirements, supported by agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Control access at entry points by verifying credentials, issuing temporary badges when authorized, maintaining visitor logs, and directing arrivals to the proper check-in process.
• Support vehicle and shipping and receiving access control by monitoring gate activity, validating delivery and pickup documentation, and coordinating with site contacts for authorization.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations.
