About The Position

As a Security Officer - Entry Control in Bossier City, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a residential community, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and support residents and guests with professional customer service. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and document activity clearly. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entrances and gates, verify identification and/or resident authorization, and manage visitor logs, passes, and vendor check-in procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to property management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and other security-related concerns.
• Operate access control and communications equipment, document security-related activity in daily reports, and report maintenance issues and unusual conditions to the appropriate contacts.
