As a Screener in a busy healthcare location, you will welcome patients, visitors, and staff while supporting access control and other security-related screening at key entry points. You will stay visible, communicate clearly, and help identify potential concerns while providing a calm, service-focused experience. Requirements

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at hospital and/or clinic entrances.
  • Conduct entry screening such as verifying identification and/or credentials, observing for prohibited items, and directing individuals to the appropriate check-in or department locations.
  • Monitor access points using logbooks and/or electronic systems, communicate site rules, and escalate concerns to Allied Universal supervision and/or site leadership as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and contacting medical staff and/or local responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around entrances, lobbies, and adjacent interior and/or exterior areas as assigned.
