About The Position

As a Security Officer - Executive Screening in West Palm Beach, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government location, you will welcome employees and visitors, verify identification, manage entry points, and conduct security-related screening of people and belongings while watching for unusual activity. You will communicate clearly, document incidents, and partner with site staff to help support smooth daily operations. Requirements

  • Have 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, and/or 5 years of security-related experience OR a college degree in criminal justice.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Must have a guard card
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct entry screening operations, including verifying identification and/or credentials, controlling access points, and operating screening equipment in accordance with post orders and posted requirements.
  • Monitor queues and entry areas, communicate screening instructions clearly, and assist with resolving access issues in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and coordinating support as directed by site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, complete required activity logs and incident reports, and communicate observations to supervision and/or site representatives.
