Security Officer - Facility Rounds
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Facility Rounds in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to issues with clear communication, thorough reporting, and customer service that supports the public and staff. Requirements
- Have security-related experience of 1+ years.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public at a government location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders, and/or supporting emergency response activities when needed.
- Monitor access points, check identification and/or credentials as required, manage visitor entry, and help to deter unauthorized access, prohibited items, and disruptive behavior.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, documenting actions taken, and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including perimeter checks, to identify irregular conditions, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Complete accurate reports and logs, communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and coordinate with local first responders when requested.
