Join Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location where you will manage access control, verify credentials, and direct employees, contractors, and visitors with a customer-focused approach. You will monitor entry points, document activity, and communicate concerns to site leadership while staying visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, and you will support a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, checking authorization lists, issuing visitor credentials, and maintaining entry logs in accordance with site requirements.
  • Perform vehicle and/or package screening as required, including verifying shipping and receiving documentation, directing traffic flow, and reporting irregularities to the appropriate contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting observations, and assisting with site response procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, adjacent areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and to identify security-related concerns for reporting and follow-up.
