As an Allied Universal Security Officer on an access control post at a residential location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, and maintain a visible presence that helps discourage security-related incidents. You will complete routine patrols, communicate clearly with residents and visitors, and document activity with attention to detail. You will bring agile, reliable teamwork and integrity to every interaction while supporting a caring, people-first culture.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and access control post orders for a residential location.
  • Control entry and exit by checking identification and/or authorizations, managing visitor registration, issuing temporary credentials when directed, and maintaining accurate access logs.
  • Monitor cameras, intercoms, and alarms and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns, helping to deter unauthorized access and other security-related issues.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting on-site management and/or emergency services as required and completing detailed reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, entry points, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
