As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a Tech, Media, and Telecom location, you will welcome employees and visitors, manage check-in and credential verification, and help maintain controlled entry points. You will monitor activity through cameras and systems, document security-related incidents, and communicate professionally with site teams. Requirements

  • Possess a TSA Issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer Service Experience - preferred.
  • State, County, or City Issued Security License - preferred.
  • Lift Up to 20 lbs - preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet - preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech, media, and/or telecom location.
  • Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining access logs, and directing visitors to approved destinations.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or access control systems; identify irregular activity and report concerns according to post orders and escalation procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and coordinating notifications to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of lobbies, corridors, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access, report maintenance concerns, and support a professional site presence.
