As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will greet employees and visitors, manage entry points, verify credentials, and maintain accurate logs. You will remain highly visible, conduct routine patrols as needed, respond to incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related protocols at an industrial food and beverage location.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or guard stations by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining sign-in logs, and directing traffic to designated areas.
  • Conduct vehicle and trailer screening as required, to include checking bills of lading and/or delivery paperwork, confirming appointment details, and coordinating with site contacts for dock access.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, yards, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
