As a Front Desk Officer at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will greet visitors, manage access control, verify credentials, and support lobby operations with a professional, customer-focused presence. This is an armed post requiring an Armed Guard Card or License. You will document activity, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate clearly with staff and guests, reflecting Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • An armed guard card/license is required.
  • You must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors at the front desk by following Allied Universal procedures and site-specific policies for a tech, media, and/or telecom location.
  • Control access by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in and sign-out logs, and directing guests to approved destinations.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, access control systems, and/or other security-related technology from the front desk and report irregular activity per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Complete detailed security-related reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate key information during shift transitions and to site leadership as needed.
