Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience is required, or a college degree is required.
  • An armed guard card an unarmed guard card.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all visitors and staff at a government location by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, maintaining entry logs, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems; report irregular activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations through established communication channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and coordinating with site contacts and/or first responders as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter points, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
