You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms, access concerns, and emergencies with calm communication. You will document observations, work closely with site staff and public partners, and bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first mindset to every shift.

Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years of military police, corrections officer, armed security-related, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct armed patrols on foot and/or by vehicle throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or authorization, and document entries, exits, and deliveries per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or public agencies as directed.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate updates to supervision using approved systems and radio protocols.
