About The Position

Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a fast-paced healthcare location. You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, respond to alarms and calls for service, and document observations using a computer and/or tablet. This is a driving post, ideal for someone who values teamwork, communicates with care, and acts with integrity while supporting staff and visitors.

Requirements

  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating notifications per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow as assigned, including observing for unusual conditions and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Complete reports and required documentation for incidents, patrol activities, and service requests, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.
