As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a residential community, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with calm, professional communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will build positive rapport with residents and staff while supporting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative approach, delivering through teamwork and acting with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance concerns or hazards.
  • Monitor access points such as lobbies, entrances, gates, and garage areas; verify credentials and/or visitor authorization in accordance with site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; contact law enforcement and/or emergency services when required and assist with scene control until relieved.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and resident concerns in written reports and/or electronic logs; communicate key information to site management and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
