As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and compliance with AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will provide strong customer service and clear communication while supporting an agile, reliable, and innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and/or site leadership as directed.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify identification and/or authorization as required; document entries, exits, and unusual activity per site policy.
- Complete shift logs and incident reports, communicate relevant updates during post changes, and assist with compliance checks such as door, gate, and lighting inspections.
