As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist shoppers and staff with friendly customer service, communicate clearly, and report concerns using site tools and technology. Requirements

• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting local authorities and/or on-site management when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, stock areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and potential policy violations, document observations, and report concerns to management to help to reduce theft and/or property damage.
• Complete routine reports, incident documentation, and shift logs, and communicate key information during shift turnovers.
