Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a hotel and resort front desk.
  • Monitor the lobby and front desk area, observe for unusual activity, and help to deter unauthorized access to guest areas by verifying credentials, room keys, and/or visitor purpose as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including guest disturbances, lost and found matters, medical calls, and/or service disruptions, and notify the appropriate personnel.
  • Operate front desk and site systems as assigned, including access control, radios, phones, CCTV monitoring, and incident reporting tools, and document activities in daily logs and reports.
  • Coordinate with hotel management and local first responders as needed, assist with guest and staff communications during incidents, and support evacuation and shelter-in-place procedures when directed.
