As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will greet team members and drivers, verify credentials, manage visitor and shipment access, and monitor cameras and alarms for security-related concerns. You will complete routine rounds, write clear reports, and communicate with site leadership to help support smooth operations. Requirements

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Staff an access control post by checking identification, verifying appointments and/or delivery paperwork, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic flow in accordance with site requirements.
• Monitor inbound and outbound shipments, trailers, and packages for irregularities, document observations, and report concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting details, and assisting with incident scene control as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, including checking doors, gates, loading docks, and yard areas, and complete required reports and logs.
