You will conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help reduce incidents, assist staff and visitors with directions and service needs, and communicate clearly while documenting security-related activity. Requirements

  • This position is in a hospital environment where vaccines are present.
  • This position is in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Applicants must be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • This position requires the ability to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disruptive behavior, access concerns, and requests for assistance from clinical and administrative teams.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Control access points by monitoring entrances, checking credentials as directed, and directing visitors to the appropriate destinations while following location protocols.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrol findings, and unusual activity, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
