As a Security Officer, you will monitor entry points, verify badges and visitor credentials, conduct routine patrols, and document security-related activity while staying visible to help to deter incidents. You will deliver responsive customer service, clear communication, and teamwork, bringing integrity to every interaction in an agile, reliable, and innovative environment. Position Type: Flex Pay Rate: $20.16 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Requirements

• A guard card and/or applicable security license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures, screening requirements, and Allied Universal post orders at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control entry and exit at gates and/or dock areas by checking identification, verifying appointments, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic flow to appropriate staging areas.
• Maintain accurate access logs and security-related documentation, including visitor records, trailer and seal information, key control, and incident reports as required by site policies.
• Respond to alarms, access control exceptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, yard, and perimeter to help to identify unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or potential hazards, reporting findings through approved channels.
