As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will greet employees and visitors, manage access control, verify credentials, and support a professional lobby experience. You will monitor activity through cameras and logs, communicate clearly with teams, and help respond to security-related concerns with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

  • A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Staff the front desk to control access by verifying identification, issuing temporary badges, managing visitor logs, and directing guests to the appropriate contact.
  • Monitor alarms, access control activity, and camera systems as assigned, and report irregular activity through established communication channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with onsite personnel and/or public responders as needed.
  • Complete shift logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal management and onsite contacts.
