As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication, helpful directions, and timely reporting using site tools and systems. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of buildings, corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify potential hazards.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, assist with wayfinding, and report suspicious behavior and/or unauthorized access attempts to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, alarms, and medical-related calls for assistance, while following post orders and escalation protocols.
  • Complete detailed reports on patrols, incidents, and unusual activity, and communicate observations to onsite leadership and/or public responders as needed.
