As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government human services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet staff and visitors, respond to concerns, document activity, and communicate clearly with site leaders and public resources when needed. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, clients, and staff at a government human services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, observe for unusual conditions, and provide directions and assistance to visitors while supporting orderly operations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting observations, and assisting with crowd management as needed.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate clearly with site personnel and/or public agency partners, and follow post orders and escalation protocols.
