You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will greet patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism, provide clear communication, and report concerns promptly. Requirements

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, entrances, waiting areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious behavior, and medical-related emergencies by coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction and controlled entry processes, reporting unauthorized access attempts and/or policy violations to site leadership.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, communicate observations to the supervisor and/or site contacts, and help maintain an orderly environment by supporting de-escalation and service-focused interactions.
