As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a commercial real estate location, you will perform routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with clear communication and strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license that meets AU Driver Policy requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures, property policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe on-site activity, verifying credentials or visitor purpose when required and directing individuals to appropriate areas per site-specific instructions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance, documenting details, and notifying site contacts and/or public responders as directed.
  • Complete routine reports and incident documentation, communicate notable observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership, and support compliance with site-specific post orders.
