As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for assistance, disturbances, suspicious activity, and/or medical-related events as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of corridors, lobbies, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited activity; working environments and conditions may vary by assigned area.
• Control access points by monitoring entrances, checking credentials as required, directing visitors to proper destinations, and reporting access concerns according to site policy.
• Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate promptly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related issues and/or maintenance hazards observed.
