As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to discourage security-related incidents. You will greet shoppers and staff, communicate clearly, and report concerns with professionalism. Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail and mall areas including storefronts, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and common areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical situations, and fire or alarm activations, and request assistance as needed.
• Monitor access points and observe foot traffic for policy compliance, assist with loss prevention support as directed by site procedures, and report suspicious activity to management and/or law enforcement.
• Complete shift activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
