As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site personnel, and provide customer service while supporting access control and incident response. Requirements

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to site leadership and Allied Universal management as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, administrative spaces, access points, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by post.
  • Monitor access control points by checking identification, verifying authorization, directing traffic flow, and documenting entries, exits, and deliveries per site policy.
  • Complete timely reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and unusual activity, and participate in briefings and/or post orders updates to support consistent security-related operations.
