As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech campus, you will complete routine patrols, stay highly visible, and help to discourage security-related incidents. You will support access points, observe and report unusual activity, and deliver strong customer service through clear communication with employees, visitors, and your team. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter access points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access control points such as doors, loading areas, and entry lanes, verifying authorization and directing traffic and/or deliveries according to site procedures.
  • Complete reports and daily activity logs, communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, and support security-related investigations by preserving observations and relevant information.
