As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control as needed, document observations using site technology, and provide professional customer service through clear communication and a calm presence. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns to the appropriate site contacts and/or public agency partners as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas as assigned, checking identification and/or authorization, documenting entries and exits, and directing individuals to approved destinations.
  • Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate relevant updates to Allied Universal supervision and site management.
