As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor assigned areas and conduct routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and provide customer service while responding to needs and reporting concerns. Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A Guard Card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and post orders at a government location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and/or public resources as directed.
- Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and common spaces, verifying identification and/or credentials and directing individuals in accordance with site policies.
- Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrol activity, and unusual observations, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
