As a Front Desk Officer in a retail setting, you will greet guests and associates, manage access and visitor flow, and serve as a friendly first point of contact for security-related questions and concerns. You will observe the lobby area, help to deter unwanted activity through a professional presence, and communicate clearly with store leaders and your Allied Universal team. Requirements

  • Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at the front desk of a retail location.
  • Greet and screen visitors, issue badges as required, manage access control, and direct guests to the appropriate destination while maintaining a professional lobby presence.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems from the front desk, reporting suspicious activity and/or policy violations to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with store leadership and emergency responders when needed.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant updates during shift handoff.
