Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location where your visible presence and routine patrols help support an orderly environment for customers and associates. You will monitor activity, conduct rounds, assist with access control as needed, and provide professional customer service while reporting security-related concerns with clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail sales floor, stock areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter, with working conditions varying by location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification to site leadership and/or law enforcement when needed.
• Help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity by maintaining a visible presence, observing for suspicious behavior, and documenting observations according to post orders.
• Complete required reports such as shift activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate pertinent information during shift turnovers.
