Join Allied Universal at a high-activity chemical and petrochemical location where you will manage access control, greet and screen visitors, verify credentials, and support security-related traffic flow at entry points. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter unwanted activity, and communicate clearly with employees, contractors, and leadership. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver’s license in the job state, backed by a caring, integrity-driven team culture.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, contractors, and visitors by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification, issuing and/or collecting badges or passes, maintaining visitor logs, and directing visitors to designated check-in areas.
  • Support chemical and petrochemical facility access requirements by confirming authorization for deliveries, contractors, and vehicles, and coordinating with site contacts for entry approvals as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with site leadership and/or emergency responders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
