As a Screener with Allied Universal at a busy cruise operations location, you will help manage entry points by screening people and belongings, monitoring assigned areas, and maintaining a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly, support a welcoming guest experience, and document activity using site tools. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Have a TSA Issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.
  • Have X-Ray screening experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cruise operations location.
  • Screen guests, crew members, vendors, and deliveries at designated entry points by verifying identification, checking credentials, and conducting bag and/or package inspections in accordance with post orders.
  • Operate and/or monitor screening equipment and tools, follow prohibited item protocols, and document and/or report items of concern to the appropriate contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts and requesting assistance when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas such as terminal entrances, loading zones, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
