Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies for the healthcare location.
  • Monitor access to the facility, verifying identification and/or credentials of visitors, employees, and contractors.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare environments.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of visitor check-ins, incidents, and other security-related activities.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as appropriate, including alerting appropriate personnel and coordinating with first responders.
  • Communicate professionally with visitors, staff, and patients, addressing inquiries and providing directions or information as needed.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior by maintaining a visible presence at the front desk.
  • Follow all Allied Universal procedures and client-specific guidelines while performing assigned duties.
