Job Description As a Security Officer - Front Gate Checkpoint in BOISE, ID , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Allied Universal Officer at a tech, media, and/or telecom location, you will support access control by greeting visitors, verifying credentials, issuing badges, and monitoring entry points. You will conduct routine patrols and document security-related activity using a computer and/or tablet, helping to maintain an orderly site while delivering standout customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience preferred.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, identification requirements, and visitor management protocols.
  • Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying credentials, issuing temporary badges when authorized, logging visitors, and directing approved individuals to the proper location.
  • Monitor doors, gates, and other controlled areas and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel to help to deter incidents.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and supporting emergency response activities per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter routes, documenting observations and reporting maintenance concerns and/or security-related hazards.
