Join Allied Universal at a food and beverage location as an Access Control Officer, where you will manage entry points, verify credentials, screen visitors and deliveries, and keep accurate logs while providing helpful customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with onsite teams. This is a driving post and requires a valid drivers license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and distribution location.
- Operate an access control post by verifying identification, issuing and collecting visitor badges, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing deliveries to designated check-in areas.
- Perform entry and exit screening for personnel, vehicles, and shipments as required, including monitoring gates and dock access points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or removal of materials.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and communication channels, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, staging areas, and the perimeter as assigned.
