About The Position

As a Security Officer - Gate Entry Driver in Commerce City, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entrances, verify credentials, issue and manage badges, and help control visitor and vehicle flow. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver clear, professional customer service to team members and drivers. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, supported by Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and integrity-led teamwork culture.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 1+ years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Control access at entry points by checking identification and/or credentials, processing visitor and contractor check-in, issuing temporary badges, and maintaining accurate access logs.
  • Support gate operations by screening inbound and outbound drivers, coordinating with site contacts for appointments and load status, and directing vehicle traffic to designated areas per site policy.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance issues to the appropriate site contact.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, yards, docks, and perimeter areas as required by post orders.
