About The Position

As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Entry in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a food and beverage production location, you will manage access control by greeting employees and visitors, verifying credentials, issuing badges, and monitoring entry points. You will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, while documenting activity and communicating clearly with site leaders. Requirements

A guard card/license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests, contractors, and employees while following Allied Universal security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a food and beverage location.
Control access at entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor and contractor check-in and/or check-out, issuing temporary badges when authorized, and maintaining access logs.
Monitor entrances, vehicle gates, and receiving areas for unusual activity, and report policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to site contacts per post orders.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts and contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including building perimeters and parking areas, and complete required reports and documentation in a timely manner.
