As an Allied Universal Security Officer assigned to access control at a chemical and/or petrochemical location, you will greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage gate entry, and support security-related screening and incident reporting. You will stay visible, perform routine patrols, and provide clear customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
- Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification, checking authorization lists, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic flow per site requirements.
- Monitor and document inbound and outbound vehicle and pedestrian activity, including deliveries and contractor access, and report irregular activity through the established chain of command.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas, buildings, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
