About The Position

As a Security Officer - Government Building in Santa Ana, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and deliver customer-focused service while using a computer and/or tablet as needed. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas while monitoring for unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or public responders as required.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor check-in and/or directions, and help enforce posted rules in accordance with site requirements.
  • Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrol observations, and/or daily activities, and communicate pertinent information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
