About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Interior Patrol in Cleveland, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Proof of required hospital vaccines is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to alarms, calls for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken per site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas such as lobbies, corridors, parking areas, and the building perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards requiring attention.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow, assisting with wayfinding, ID and/or badge checks as directed, and coordinating with site personnel regarding restricted areas.
  • Complete required reports, incident logs, and shift activity documentation, and communicate observations and concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
