As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist patients, visitors, and staff with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and work with clinical teams to support daily operations. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal protocols, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, medical facility alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with clinical staff and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter, watching for unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Support access control and visitor management by monitoring entry points, checking credentials as directed, and directing individuals to appropriate departments.
  • Complete security-related reports and shift documentation, documenting observations, incidents, and actions taken according to site requirements.
