About The Position

As a Security Officer - Hospital Screener in Winter Haven, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors through strong communication, quick issue reporting, and professional customer service. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following Allied Universal and site-specific procedures, access control requirements, and emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional support and/or medical assistance as needed per site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity, identify unusual conditions, and report concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Control entry and monitor assigned areas, verifying credentials, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and assisting with visitor management in accordance with site policy.
  • Complete timely documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs, and communicate observations to supervisors, client representatives, and/or local responders as required.
