Job Description As a Security Officer - Industrial Access Driver in Pontiac, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will manage access control by welcoming employees and visitors, verifying credentials, issuing passes, and documenting activity. You will perform routine patrols and security-related checks to help to deter incidents, respond to concerns, and communicate clearly with site leaders. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license under AU Driver Policy Requirements, supporting mobile rounds and rapid response.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor passes per site procedures, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and coordinating with site contacts for approvals.
  • Screen inbound and outbound pedestrian and vehicle traffic for compliance with posted requirements, including directing deliveries to designated areas and reporting suspicious activity per protocol.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal supervision as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, production areas, parking lots, and perimeter, noting unusual conditions and reporting maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
