As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will greet employees and visitors, manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, issue badges, and document activity with clear communication. You will remain visible, conduct routine area checks, and help report and respond to security-related concerns while delivering a people-first experience. Requirements
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to assigned location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control requirements, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobby points by checking identification, verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining sign-in logs, and directing visitors, contractors, and deliveries to designated areas.
- Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems; report irregular activity per post orders and document events in daily activity logs and incident reports.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and coordinating with site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and support a visible Allied Universal presence.
