As a Front Desk Officer in a healthcare location, you will be the first point of contact, greeting visitors, managing access, answering questions, and supporting security-related awareness at the reception area. You will monitor activity from the desk, document incidents, communicate clearly with staff and guests, and help maintain an orderly environment. Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Greet, screen, and direct visitors, patients, vendors, and staff; manage visitor sign-in logs and issue temporary credentials per site policy.
  • Monitor access points and lobby activity; help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying identification and coordinating access with authorized personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document events and notify site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
  • Answer phones and route calls, handle inquiries and service requests, and complete required reports using Allied Universal and site documentation standards.
